About me

Photographer and videographer · Trento

Hi, I'm Fabio.

I am a young guy from Trento with a degree in Computer Engineering and a great passion for photography and videography.

I love telling stories through images, capturing the beauty of landscapes, the energy of events and the genuine emotions of people.

With my camera and my drones, for which I have a special passion, I am always looking for new perspectives and points of view, with the aim of turning every moment into a unique memory.

First the sky, then the ground

Curiously, my passion for photography and videography was born long before I ever picked up a camera. It all started with another great passion that has been with me since I was a child: flying.

I have always been fascinated by anything that could fly and be controlled from a distance. As a kid I spent my time playing with radio-controlled helicopters, until, growing up, I discovered the world of drones. From the first toy models I gradually moved on to more and more advanced machines, and today I have over five years of piloting experience.

Over time, what began as a simple passion for flying turned into something much bigger. Buying my first professional drone opened up a world I barely knew until then: aerial filming, photographic composition and color grading. I started looking at what was around me with different eyes, searching for perspectives, colors and framings able to tell something.

And that is exactly where the wish to bring this passion down to the ground came from.

In no time I fell in love with traditional photography and began to experiment, learn and expand my gear. Today I use a high-performance camera body with quality lenses that let me take on different genres of photography. Alongside them are my two drones, each with a different personality: a cinematic drone, ideal for smooth, precise and evocative shots, and an FPV drone, with which I can capture dynamic, immersive footage full of adrenaline.

As for flying, I also hold the European A1/A3 certificate and in the future I would like to get the A2 as well, to keep expanding my skills.

What I look for in a shot

If there is one thing photography has taught me, it is that I am not looking for perfection but for authenticity.

I like working with how people naturally are, capturing spontaneous moments, the ones that happen without warning and often last only a fraction of a second. I do not feel the need to recreate the perfect pose or a film set every time: I prefer to observe, wait and let emotions show on their own.

The greatest satisfaction comes when a photograph manages to tell something without any need for words. A look, a smile, a hug or a small gesture can hold an entire story.

And what moves me even more is when a simple shot lets you sense the bond between people, almost as if whoever looks at the photograph could live, even for just an instant, what they were feeling in that moment.

A dream still to come true

There is one photographic experience I especially dream of: shooting a surprise marriage proposal, what the photography world often calls surprise proposal photography.

Fabio at work with the camera

I am fascinated by the idea of being there, hidden and discreet, capturing one of the most important moments in two people's lives without them noticing there is a camera.

I imagine the waiting, the tension, the surprise and finally all those emotions that are impossible to recreate artificially. I have not yet had the chance to live an experience like this, but I think it would be truly special to tell the story of love at the moment it becomes a promise.

And this is only the beginning

Looking back, I am proud of the path I have taken and of the work I have managed to do so far. I know I still have a great deal to learn, many places to discover, new techniques to try and gear to test myself with.

But above all, I cannot wait to enrich my portfolio with new stories.

Because, if until today I have mostly told my own adventures, what I want now is to start telling yours too.
